What is the difference between Swix Performance Speed, High Speed, and Top Speed?
In this post, we'll describe the differences and help you navigate the fast-paced realm of Pro by Swix so you can make informed choices for your skiing needs.
Let's get started!
Swix introduces an innovative range of ski waxes called Pro by Swix
Pro by Swix is a new performance Glide Wax System that is 100% fluoro-free, biodegradable and non-toxic. The Pro System is divided into three levels of performance called Performance Speed, High Speed and Top Speed, and each level has its own performance standards, so whether you are a professional skier chasing seconds or a recreational skier chasing a dream, the New Pro Wax System will help you get there.
PS = Performance Speed = Made for recreational skiers and for training purposes
Performance Speed level has been designed for training and recreational use. It is the first category in the Pro System. It has been crafted with high-quality base-wax materials made for recreational skiers/riders and for training purposes for the racing community.
These waxes should be ironed on, scraped and brushed.
There are five waxes in this category to cover all temperature ranges from -10C - +10C.
PS5 Turquoise Glider -10°...-18°C, 180g
SWIX PS6 Blue Glider -6°...-12°C, 180g

HS = High Speed = For ambitious skiers and racers
The High Speed category is the 2nd category in the Pro System and is made with a high degree of quality raw materials, giving the High Speed more outstanding durability and performance than the Performance Speed category.
The High-Speed category was created for the avid skier or rider looking for ultra-performance and durability for a hard day on the snow. The category is often used for junior racing, High School racing, and casual competitions.
This category also has five waxes to cover all temperature ranges from -10C - +10C. High speed exists as both hot wax and liquid products. These waxes should be ironed-on scraped, and brushed.
